HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – A Washington Twp., Morris County man is facing drug charges after he passes out behind the wheel on Route 57 and causes a traffic backup.
At 12:10 p.m. on December 23, town police responded to Route 57 in the area of Scrub-A-Dub Car Wash for a report of an individual passed out in a vehicle. When officer’s arrived on scene, they observed Tevin Fuller’s, 22, vehicle stopped in the roadway and causing a traffic backup, police said.
The officers approached the vehicle and saw Fuller passed out in the driver’s seat with the shift knob still in drive. After numerous attempts to wake Fuller, he finally woke up, police said.
Fuller put the driver’s side window down and the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. As Fuller was exiting the vehicle, he handed over to the officer a small box containing suspected marijuana, police said.
Through a police investigation, they determined that Fuller had in his possession seventeen individually wrapped crack cocaine rocks and drug paraphernalia.
Fuller was charged with third degree possession of cocaine, third degree intent to distribute cocaine, disorderly persons offense possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, disorderly persons offense possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, careless driving and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
Fuller was unable to post the $25,000 with no ten percent bail and was then lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
