50 wax folds of heroin seized, 2 people arrested at Hackettstown home

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Two Hackettstown men are facing drug charges after police arrived at a home to serve a warrant.

On Sunday at 8:10 p.m., town police responded to 55 Main St to serve an active $825.00 Hackettstown municipal court criminal warrant on 20-year-old Ian Rossi, police said.

The officer made contact with Rossi and he was found to be in possession of 49 wax folds containing suspected heroin, several empty suspected heroin wax folds and five hypodermic syringes, police said.

Through a police investigation it was determined that 22-year-old Justin Vandermark, who was also in the residence, arrived at the house to deliver marijuana, police said.

Vandermark was found to be in possession of one wax fold containing suspected heroin, a sandwich bag containing suspected marijuana and a brownish glass pipe containing suspected burnt marijuana. He was also under the influence of heroin, police said.

Vandermark was charged with third degree possession of heroin, third degree possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, under the influence of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court appearance.

Rossi was charged with third degree possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was then lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
