ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – This morning shortly before 9am emergency crews were dispatched to the Allamuchy General Store on a report of a motor vehicle crash. Arriving first responders found the motor vehicle was a tractor trailer that had crashed through the front of the store and eatery. Unconfirmed reports are that the driver of the big rig who was not injured in the crash, lost control of the truck, that subsequently slammed into the store front door and plate glass window, coming to a stop in the dining area. No one was injured as a result of the single vehicle accident, however an estimated 80 gasllons of diesel fuel spilled out of the big rig’s gas tank. The identity of the truck driver has not been released.
