MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – A Hackettstown woman has been charged for allegedly stealing merchandise from Walmart and hides some under her car.
At 7:57 p.m. on Wednesday January 11, township officers responded to Walmart on the report of a female shoplifter who refused to stop for loss prevention, police said.
Taylor B. Giliberti, 24, allegedly shoplifted merchandise by concealing items on her person and later placing some of them under her vehicle in an attempt to hide them from police.
A further investigation revealed, Giliberti had also switched packaging on an item to pay a lower price for the item. She was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia (cut straws used to inhale controlled dangerous substances).
Giliberti was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting and shoplifting by altering the price. She was released pending a court appearance.
