MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 45-year-old Morris County man has been charged after breaking into the Dollar & Party Mart and stealing a large amount of lottery tickets.

On Thursday, January 19 at 8:05 a.m., township police responded to the Dollar & Party Mart, located in the Parkade Mall on Naughright Rd, for the report of a burglary, police said in a news release today.

When police arrived, they observed a large amount of glass by the front door, and evidence that the front door had been smashed in. Upon further investigation it was determined that a large amount of lottery tickets had been taken, police said.

Through the course of an investigation, Mount Olive Detectives determined that a male, identified as Paul R. Spinnler of Netcong, NJ, had cashed in numerous lottery tickets at a convenience store in Mansfield Twp, police said.

When detectives made contact with Mansfield Police, they were advised that Spinnler was arrested in Mansfield on an unrelated matter, and was found to have numerous lottery tickets in his possession, police said.

According to Mansfield Twp. Police, on Wednesday Jessica Spinnler, 37, of Mansfield turned herself into police regarding a shoplifting incident that had occurred on January 18.

On January 18, her and her husband, Paul Spinnler, had stolen laptop computers from Walmart. The laptop she had stolen was valued at $399.00 and had been recovered during the arrest of her husband. She was lodged in the Warren County Jail, Mansfield Twp. police said.

Detectives made contact with Spinnler, who was no longer in police custody, and arranged for him to come into police headquarters to discuss the theft, police said.

Spinnler was interviewed by detectives and then was charged with burglary, theft of movable property, possession of burglar tools, receiving stolen property, and transporting property known to be derived from criminal activity. Spinnler was released pending a court hearing.
