MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in the Flanders section of the township early Friday morning.
The fire was reported around 12:16 a.m. at 19 Park Place, according to emergency radio reports. The fire was reported to be under control as of 2:00 a.m.
Heavy smoke was coming from the structure when police arrived and a second alarm was called around 12:20 a.m. According to radio reports, the first floor collapsed and a partial chimney collapsed.
It’s unknown if there were any injuries.
Mount Olive Township Police Detectives and the Morris County Arson Unit were requested to the scene.
Some additional fire companies that assisted Mount Olive Township were Netcong, Chester and Hackettstown.
