HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Mansfield Township man is facing multiple drug charges and a fraud charge, while a Hackettstown man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday morning.
At 2:00 a.m., a town police officer initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle on Route 57 for a moving violation, police said.
The officer approached the vehicle to talk to the driver, who was identified as Richard Sabatino, 27, of Hackettstown, NJ. The officer then recognized the passenger as Shane Ultimo, 21, of Mansfield Twp, NJ. The officer was aware that Ultimo was a NJ wanted person out of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for violation of a court order, police said.
Four small plastic containers containing suspected cocaine, ten wax folds containing suspected heroin and a glass smoking pipe containing suspected cocaine residue were located by police inside Ultimo’s left boot, police said.

Ultimo was also wanted for questioning in reference to a fraudulent use of a credit card incident. On February 18, Ultimo found a credit card belonging to a victim and used it at the Good Luck Vapes store, located at 198 Route 182, to purchase $267.50 worth of items, police said.
Ultimo was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and fraudulent use of a credit card. He was then turned over to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and lodged in the Warren County Jail.
Sabatino was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and tinted windows. He was released pending a court appearance.
