HOPATCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A Thursday morning fire sent one person to the hospital with burns to their face and head.
At 11:56 a.m., firefighters responded to 227 Lakeside Blvd for a reported structure fire, Lt. Thomas Kmetz said.
It was not immediately clear if the fire spread to a second home, Kmetz said.
One person sustained burns to their face and head and was driven to Morristown Medical Center, Kmetz said.
Hopatcong fire department was assisted by Roxbury, Stanhope, Netcong, Byram, and Jefferson Fire Departments and the Hopatcong, Stanhope/Netcong, Lakeland, and Atlantic EMS.
