6 arrested after drug investigation in Warren County; heroin, meth, shotgun seized

BELVIDERE, NJ (Warren County) – A six month investigation conducted by the Belvidere Police Department and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Unit into the distribution of heroin and methamphetamine within the town of Belvidere leads to six arrests.

On March 3, a narcotics search warrant was executed in Belvidere and methamphetamine, heroin and a 12 gauge shotgun were seized, according to a news release from the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

The following people were charged as a result of the investigation:

  • Kristen Gallagher, 31, of Belvidere, NJ was charged with two counts of third degree conspiring to distribute heroin, one count of third degree conspiring to distribute methamphetamine, two counts of third degree possession of heroin, one count of third degree possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of methocarabamol without a valid prescription.
  • Michael Gallagher, 30, of Belvidere, NJ was charged with one count of third degree possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of third degree distributing methamphetamine, two counts of third degree possession of methamphetamine and one count of third degree conspiring to distribute methamphetamine.
  • Lester Hoffman, 39, of Belvidere, NJ was charged with four counts of third degree possession of methamphetamine, four counts of third degree possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of third degree endangering the welfare of children by engaging in conduct which caused two minor children to be abused or neglected, specifically by distributing methamphetamine from a vehicle which was occupied by the two minor children.
  • Arthur Appleby, 31, of Belvidere, NJ was charged with one count of third degree conspiring to distribute heroin.
  • Tiffany Stout, 33, of White Township, NJ was charged with one count of third degree conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and one count of second degree endangering the welfare of children by engaging in conduct which made her two minor children abused or neglected, specifically by distributing methamphetamine from a vehicle which was occupied by the two minor children.
  • Brent Howell, 32, of Frelinghuysen Township, NJ was charged with two counts of third degree possession of heroin and six counts of third degree distributing heroin.

If convicted, each third degree offense carries a maximum potential sentence of five years in prison and/or a fine of $35,000 for possession and $75,000 for distribution or possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

Belvidere police and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Unit were assisted in the searches and arrests by police in Washington Township, Mansfield Township, Hackettstown, Phillipsburg along with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and New Jersey State Police.
