HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A 20-year-old Hackettstown man allegedly hid in a closet to avoid being arrested.
On Saturday at 11:39 a.m.,town police responded to an apartment at 55 North Main St to serve an active NJ Wanted Person warrant and a $750 Mansfield Twp criminal warrant on Ian Rossi, police said.
The NJ Wanted Person warrant was issued by the Warren County Prosecutors Office and the original offense was for possession of heroin, police said.
Once inside the apartment, officers located Rossi hiding in a locked closet. He was found to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe, police said.
Rossi was charged with obstructing administration of law and possession of a hypodermic syringe. He was released on the Hackettstown charges pending a court appearance and was then turned over to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
