Cause of Hackettstown fire under investigation (VIDEO)

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Firefighters battled a 1-alarm fire at a home in Hackettstown Friday morning.

At 11:18 a.m., the town’s police, fire department and rescue squad responded to 102 Morgan Terrace in reference to a structure fire, police said.

When officers arrived on scene, they observed fire coming from the second floor. There was fire and water damage throughout the house, police said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hackettstown Detective Bureau, Mt Olive Twp Fire Marshal and the Warren County Fire Marshal, police said.

Hurley Dr was closed in both directions between Carol Dr and Louis Lane for approx 2 hours, police said.

There were no injuries reported and firefighters did rescue the family’s cat from the home, police said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assisting at the scene was the Hackettstown Fire Police, Hackettstown Department Of Public Works, Hackettstown Building Inspector, Washington Boro Fire Department, Tri County Fire Company, Mansfield Twp Rescue Squad, Independence Twp Fire Department, Budd Lake Fire Department, JCP&L and American Red Cross.
