Stolen Ronald McDonald statue recovered

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Ronald McDonald Statue that was stolen from the McDonalds in Clinton Township has been recovered, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, and Clinton Township Police Officer in Charge Lt. Doug Higgins announced on Friday.

The life size statue of Ronald McDonald sitting on a bench was stolen from a McDonald’s Restaurant, located at 185 Center St, between 11:00 p.m. April 26 and 10:00 a.m. April 27.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “I am pleased to announce that Ronald is safe and on his way back home to Clinton Township. I would like to thank Crimestoppers of Hunterdon for the vital role they played in helping to locate the statue.”

“I would also like to commend the 2 detectives from the Clinton Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office for their dedication and hard work. The investigation into person(s) responsible for the theft is ongoing and we will provide more details at a later date,” Kearns said.
