HOPATCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A 35-year-old man is charged with lewdness after he allegedly masturbated over a woman who was sleeping, according to a news release from police on Friday.
Police received information from a male that Michael Emmets of Hopatcong, NJ came into his house on May 2 at around 1:00 a.m. and masturbated over a woman who was sleeping in his home. Emmets is known to the complainant, police said.
The investigation also revealed that Emmets took $20.00 while in the victim’s bedroom, police said.
Emmets was charged with burglary, lewdness and theft. He was lodged in the Sussex County Jail.
Hopatcong Police were assisted by the NJ State Police Crimes unit and the Sussex County Prosecutors office.
