WASHINGTON, NJ (Warren County) – A three month-long investigation into the alleged trafficking of heroin in the Washington area has led to the arrest of a Washington man, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s office.
On Friday, the Washington Township Police, Hackettstown Police, NJ State Police, and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at 73 Park Avenue in Washington, prosecutor’s office said.
Paraphernalia and packaging commonly used for distributing heroin were seized, prosecutor’s office said.
Donald Gallagher, 38, was charged with one count of third-degree possession of heroin, one count of third-degree distribution of heroin, one count of third-degree possession with the intent to distribute heroin and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Each third-degree offense carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years and/or a fine of $75,000 for distribution or possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, and $35,000 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The second degree offense carries a maximum term of imprisonment of ten years and/or a fine of $150,000.
