A Hackettstown man is jailed after allegedly trying to grab an officer’s gun during an arrest. Just after 9:30 pm on Saturday night Police responded to Franklin Street on a report of a man who had damaged the hood of a car. According to the vehicle’s owner, the man leaned on the front end of their minivan, putting a large dent in it.
Police soon located 36 year old Antonio Cahuec-Chen of Hackettstown, and say he appeared visibly intoxicated. During his arrest, police allege he tried to grab an officer’s firearm. Cahuec-Chen was charged with attempting to disarm of officer, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct before being lodged in warren county jail on $15,000 bail.
