NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A 33-year-old Sussex County man was sentenced to prison Friday for robbery and theft that occurred in Hardyston in 2015, and aggravated assault on another inmate in early 2107, Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said.
Eric Faulkner of Newton, was sentenced to 10 years state prison subject to no early release act for a robbery and sentenced to 5 years state prison for a theft both of which occurred in June of 2015 in Hardyston Township. These sentences were ordered to run concurrent to one another. He received 514 days jail credit and was ordered to pay all mandatory fines and fees, Koch said.
Faulkner was also sentenced to 5 years state prison for an aggravated assault on another inmate in March of 2017 when he was incarcerated at the Keough-Dwyer Correctional Facility. This sentences was ordered to run concurrent to the robbery and theft sentence, Koch said.
Faulkner pled guilty on April 19, 2017, to second-degree robbery, third-degree theft. This case was investigated by the Hardyston Township Police Department and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, Koch said.
Also on April 19, Faulkner pled guilty to third-degree aggravated assault on another inmate at the Sussex County Courthouse. This case was investigated by the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, Koch said.
