HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Mansfield Twp. resident is facing charges after she allegedly stole a wallet at the Mars Chocolate North America’s cafeteria earlier this month.

On Thursday at 2:16 p.m., town police responded to the Mars Chocolate plant, located on High St, in reference to a theft complaint, police said.

Through a police investigation it was determined that on June 13 Cheryl Donaldson, 50, took a wallet ,containing personal items and $100.00 cash, out of a purse that was located in the cafeteria, police said.

Then on June 16, Donaldson allegedly found credit cards and assorted ID cards scattered around a garbage can that belonged to the victim. She then turned the items over to security, police said.

Through security video footage, it revealed that Donaldson had possession of the items in her hand and simulated picking them up from the ground. The $100.00 was never returned to the victim, police said.

Donaldson was charged on Monday with theft of property and disorderly conduct. She was released pending a court appearance.
