WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – Two men who allegedly were threatening dogs at a home in Washington Borough were arrested earlier this month, police said in a news release on Wednesday.
On June 11 at 9:55 p.m., Washington Township police responded to a residence in the 40 block of Beethoven Ave for a report of two trespassers threatening the victim’s dogs, police said.
When officer’s arrived, two subjects were located leaving the property, police said.
Jesse Herold, 34, of East Stroudsburg, PA attempted to flee the area on his bicycle, but was eventually stopped on Route 57 in Washington Borough, police said.
Christopher Crawford, 31, of Washington, NJ was found to have an outstanding $500.00 Washington Borough $500.00 warrant. He was released with a new court date, police said
Herold was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of the administration of justice, interfering/disrupting transportation, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and maintaining a nuisance. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for obstructing traffic, riding a bicycle without an audible device and riding a bicycle without reflectors. He was lodged in the Warren County Jail.
Police didn’t release why the two were threatening the dogs.
