WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – A 4-foot tall decorative rooster that was stolen from outside a business on Father’s Day has been found, police said.

The rooster was stolen at 2:00 a.m. on June 18, from Hometown Fried Chicken, located at 25 E. Washington Avenue in Washington Borough, police said.

Police didn’t release where the rooster was located or if anyone has been charged with the theft. “It will be returned to its rightful owners soon,” police said.

“While here it wanted to apply for the part time police secretary position. Her typing skills were impressive, unfortunately she is difficult to understand when answering the phone. So our search continues,” police said.
