MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Firefighters from the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company need your help in raising money for a new altering system.

In an effort to find a way to better alert firefighters in the event of a call, the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company has set a goal of raising $2,000 to implement a new system called “I Am Responding,” according to the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company.

This new system will be able to work with firefighters smartphones to Alert them when a call occurs.

Since the majority of New Jersey, including Mansfield Township, utilizes volunteers for their fire service, members don’t wait at the station for an incident to occur.

Members must respond from wherever they are, which leaves us wondering who/when someone will be responding to the firehouse. ‘I Am Responding” will allow the firefighters to know exactly that, meaning less wait time and quicker firetruck response when seconds matter most.

This investment will become a crucial part of the fire company. Your donation will help us fund not only the software but also the necessary equipment that will allow us to use I am Responding to its greatest potential.

As of Monday morning, the fire company has raised $485 of the $2,000 needed to purchase the new system. To donate, visit their Facebook page.
