BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 25-year-old man who was involved in a 2 vehicle crash has been charged with DWI and possession of heroin.
Township police responded to Route 94 in the area of PNC Bank on Saturday for a report of a 2 vehicle crash, where one of the vehicles hit a utility pole, police said.
Upon arrival, police determined that a 25-year-old man driving one of the vehicles had veered into the southbound lane while traveling north on Route 94, police said.
The second driver attempted to avoid the collision by swerving into the southbound shoulder, but was unable to avoid contact with the other vehicle, police said.
There were no major injuries were reported as a result of the crash, police said.
Upon further investigation, the male driver was arrested for DWI and possession of heroin. He was released pending a Court appearance. Police didn’t release the name of the driver.
Assisting at the scene was the Blairstown Ambulance Corps and the Blairstown Fire Department.
