Marty’s Reliable Cycle and the Foodshed Alliance present the Second Annual Tour de Blairstown, Saturday, August 5th. Ride 25-, 40- or 62-mile courses through Blairstown and the surrounding area on marked routes with rest stops along the way, all to benefit the Foodshed Alliance. Check-in for registered riders begins at 6:30 a.m., with a continental breakfast. The 62-mile ride leaves at 7:30; the 40-mile ride leaves at 8:00; and the 25-mile ride leaves at 8:30. Minors 18 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch after the ride is included. Register online at tourdeblairstown.com for only $45; registration will be $50 the day of the event. Following the ride, shop at the Blairstown Farmers Market and/or enjoy Blairstown Historic Day, sponsored by the Blairstown Museum, a celebration of Blairstown’s heritage on Main Street, just one block from the market. Spend the afternoon enjoying the ambiance of a bygone era with live entertainment; antique, craft and food vendors; antique/vintage car show; a birthday celebration for Blairstown founder John Insley Blair and much more.
