CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A man was hurt Tuesday evening after his riding lawn mower was clipped by a vehicle in Clinton Township.
The crash happened at 5:55 p.m. on Old Mountain Road, according to Clinton Township Lieutenant Ryan Melsky.
A man was mowing a lawn using a “zero-turn” lawn mower and as he was making a turn with the lawn mower in order to head back in the other direction, the very rear of the mower protruded out slightly onto Old Mountain Road, Melsky said.
The area has limited visibility due to shrubbery, Melsky said.
A 17-year-old Clinton Township female driving a 2007 Jeep Liberty was passing by the location when the vehicle “clipped” the rear end of the lawn mower, Melsky said.
The man driving the lawn mower sustained injuries and was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment, Melsky said.
The names of the individuals were not released or if any summonses were issued.
