MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Bloomsbury woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after she was allegedly tailgating and told police she thought she was in Whitehouse, NJ, police said.
Jacquelin M. Rush, 32, was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to breath testing, reckless driving, following too closely, and no insurance.
On Friday at 8:23 p.m., township police were called to Route57 near Willy’s Weiners for the report of a vehicle that was allegedly tailgating and swerving around behind her vehicle, police said.
The complainant pulled into the business lot to allow Rush’s vehicle to pass but instead her vehicle pulled in behind the complainant’s vehicle, police said.
When the officer arrived, he observed Rush slumped over with her foot on the brake and the vehicle in gear, police said
The officer placed the vehicle in park and had a difficult time waking Rush. Police determined Rush to be heavily intoxicated and she allegedly believed she was in Whitehouse, NJ, police said.
Rush was released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
