2 indicted in Hunterdon County burglaries

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Two alleged burglary suspects who were arrested in May have been indicted by a grand jury, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, said on Tuesday.

A Hunterdon County grand jury on Thursday handed down a 15 count indictment against Lesley Valentin, 32, of Asbury Park and Jarret L. Bruce, 34, of Hackensack, Kearns said.

They were both indicted on one count second-degree eluding, one count third-degree burglary, one count third-degree conspiracy, three counts third-degree attempted burglary, two counts third-degree resisting arrest, one count third-degree false government document, one count fourth-degree harming a law enforcement animal, three counts fourth-degree criminal mischief, one count fourth-degree obstructing governmental operations, and one count fourth-degree hindering, Kearns said.

The crimes occurred in Tewksbury Township and Clinton Township.

Valentin and Bruce are scheduled to appear in Hunterdon County Superior Court on August 21, 2017 for a post-indictment hearing.
