No mail will be delivered on Monday, and all United States Postal Service locations are closed. The same goes for Fed-Ex, which is closed. UPS’s Express Critical service will deliver but all of its other services will shut down.
Banks are closed on Memorial Day, including TD Bank, Wells Fargo and PNC branches. All list today as a bank holiday.
Since Monday is a federal and state holiday, the financial and stock markets will be closed. The same goes for federal, state and local courts.
Schools across the state are also closed.
The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission facilities and inspection stations are closed. In addition, all other state agencies will be closed.
If you’re hoping to catch one of the summer blockbuster movies, AMC, Regal and Bow Tie movie theaters are open.
If shopping is your thing, all malls in the Garden State will be open for regular hours this weekend, advertising big holiday bargains. They include Bridgewater Commons, Rockaway Townsquare, The Mall at Short Hills, Phillipsburg Mall and the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne.
Most food stores will be open for their regular hours, including ShopRite.
NJ Transit will operate on a holiday or special service schedule. The agency suggests using its online trip planner to double-check arrival and departure times.
