ShopRite supermarkets are recalling its own Semi-Sweet Real Chocolate Chips, according to ShopRite’s website.
The chips were sold in 24-ounce bags with a UPC bar code of 04119002668 and best if used by: April 11, 2019 & April 12, 2019.
The product is being recalled because it may potentially contain an undeclared milk ingredient.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with this product but people who are allergic to milk run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Consumers are asked to return the product to the store for a refund or replacement.
Anyone with questions may call customer care at 1-800-746-7748, Monday –Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
