Mount Olive Twp. skateboarder had heroin, marijuana, open beer keg, cops say

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Flanders man was charged on Labor Day after he was allegedly skateboarding on private property with drugs and alcohol.

Edmond Ryan, 25, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open container and consumption of alcohol in public, police said.

At 12:37 p.m., a town police officer was on routine patrol when the officer observed a male skateboarding on private property located at 301 Route 182 without permission, police said.

The officer approached Ryan and through a police investigation, it was determined that he allegedly had an open keg of DAB beer and a solo cup filled with alcohol, police said.

Police also discovered that Ryan allegedly had in his possession a clear baggy containing suspected marijuana, 2 wax folds containing suspected heroin and 2 empty wax folds containing suspected heroin residue, police said.

Ryan was released pending a court appearance.
