READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Two people are facing charges after police found drugs in a residence near the Readington Middle School.
On September 11, township police and the Whitehouse Fire Department responded to a residence near the Readington Middle School for a report of a smoke condition on the property, police said.
While on the scene, Lt. John Insabella detected a strong odor of raw marijuana from inside the residence, police said.
A search warrant was obtained to search the residence and approximately a pound and a half of packaged marijuana, 79 ecstasy pills, cocaine and mushrooms were seized, police said.
In addition a large amount of cash, numerous drug paraphernalia, and packaging materials were also seized, police said.
Jayson Wilkinson, 33, of Whitehouse Station was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Jill Cortright, 36 of Whitehouse Station was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor on September 14, stemming from the same investigation.
