5 charged in Newton, 165 bags of heroin seized

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – In two days, five people were charged for alleged distribution of heroin and 165 bags of heroin were seized, according to Newton Police Chief Michael Richards.

On Wednesday a narcotics investigation conducted cooperatively by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and the Newton Police Department resulted in the following arrests:

Drew Repasy, 33, of Newton, was arrested on Liberty Street and charged with two counts of third-degree possession of heroin. He was released pending an appearance at Central Judicial Processing. Ten bags of heroin were seized, Richards said.

Brian Johnson, 33, of Branchville, was arrested on Hampton Street and charged with one count of third-degree distribution of heroin. He was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in accordance with the provisions of New Jersey Bail Reform. Ten bags of heroin were seized, Richards said.

On Friday a cooperative narcotics investigation conducted by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and the Newton Police Department resulted in the following arrests:

Erin Dockray, 39, of Newton, was arrested on Main Street and charged with one count of second-degree distribution of heroin within a Public Park/Building Zone and third-degree distribution of heroin. He was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in accordance with the provisions of New Jersey Bail Reform. Ten bags of heroin were seized, Richards said.

Ashley Womack, 32, of Newton, was arrested at 16 Union Place on an outstanding superior court warrant, third-degree conspiracy to distribute heroin and two counts of third-degree distribution of heroin. She was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in accordance with the provisions of New Jersey Bail Reform. Approximately 120 bags of heroin were seized, Richards said.

Anntoinette Macdonald, 36, of Newton, was arrested at 16 Union Place and charged with, one count of third-degree distribution of heroin. She was released pending an appearance at Central Judicial Processing. Fifteen bags of heroin were seized, Richards said.
