Bizarre dispute over stolen Taylor Ham, beer leads to NJ man being charged

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A man was charged Saturday morning following a bizarre dispute at an apartment in Hackettstown.

At 2:45 a.m., town police responded to an apartment on the 100 block of Main St for a report of people allegedly fighting over stolen Taylor Ham, police said.

When the officer arrived on scene, the officer observed red abrasions and swelling on the left side of the victim’s face, police said.

A police investigation determined that Christian Guerra, 19, of Hackettstown, NJ had punched the victim multiple times on the left side of the face, police said.

“It was also revealed during the investigation, that the dispute might have also started over beer,” police said.

Ariel was charged with simple assault and was then lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
