KNOWLTON TWP, N.J. (Warren County)– A tractor-trailer has Jackknifed Friday morning(6/3/16) on I-80 EB in Knowlton Twp.
The crash happened around 5:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near milemarker 8 causing the right lane and shoulder to be closed.
A tractor trailer driver reportedly fell asleep and crashed into another tractor trailer that was hauling dairy products. The crash caused the trailer to go up an embankment, according to radio reports.
Officials say two saddle fuel tanks ruptured, causing fuel to leak and the Warren County HAZMAT was requested.
Crews are still working to clear the crews and fuel spill.
