WASHINGTON TWP. (Warren County, NJ) – The World War Two and Holocaust Research Center at Warren County Community College will have a presentation from Ester Bakonyi, a Holocaust survivor, on Tuesday October 24, at 6:30 pm in Room E206-E210.
Bakonyi was born in Debrcen, Hungary and came to the United States after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University Lincoln Center, and graduated from Seton Hall School of Law in 1982. She served a clerkship under the Honorable Daniel Coburn, J.S.C. and was employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety for 28 years, retiring in 2015. Bakonyi lives with her husband, Roland, in Port Murray.
There will be a Q&A session after Bakonyi’s presentation.
This is a free event and open to the public. There is ample free parking available at the college.
