MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Police charged a Landing man they say allegedly had cocaine during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.
Luigi Lachetta, 29, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to make repairs, no front license plate, tinted windows and not having valid proof of insurance.
At 9:37 a.m., Officer Hopf Sr. stopped Lachetta’s vehicle on Hardscrabble Rd. for failing to make repairs, having no front license plate and for having tinted windows, police said.
A police investigation allegedly revealed Lachetta possessed cocaine.
Lachetta was released pending a mandatory superior court appearance.
