Hackettstown Police Department K9 unit needs votes to win $5,000 grant

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Police Department is asking for votes that could land them a $5,000 grant for their K9 unit.

The grant will help with medical costs, grooming also to purchase and maintain safety equipment, Hackettstown police said.

The Aftermath K9 grant is offering a total of $15,000 split between five law enforcement agencies in the United States and the District of Columbia.

The Aftermath K9 Grant was founded to showcase, support, and reward the unique contributions made by law enforcement and their K9 units across the country. Indirectly, the K9 Grant raises safety awareness and community kinship throughout the neighborhoods that Aftermath and our law enforcement partners proudly serve, according to the Aftermath website.

Hackettstown was one of the police agencies nominated and now the police department hopes the community will vote to help them win.

You can vote once a day at aftermath.com/k9-grant/. Make sure to scroll down, search for HACKETTSTOWN PD NJ, enter your name and email address.

The voting ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on November 7.
