BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 71-year-old man is in critical condition following a crash on Route 94 Sunday afternoon, according to Blairstown Police Captain Scott Johnsen.
The man was flown to Morristown Medical Center following the crash, which occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m., Johnsen said.
The driver was making a left out of the Acme Market when his Toyota RAV4 was T-boned by a Ford F-450 which was travelling south on Route 94 near Lambert Rd, Johnsen said.
The driver was trapped inside the RAV4 and was extricated through the passenger side rear door, Johnsen said.
The male driver of Ford refused medical attention at the scene, Johnsen said.
Police didn’t release the names of the drivers involved.
Route 94 was closed for approximately 4 ½ hours while police investigated the crash.
Assisting at the scene was the Blairstown Hose Company#1, Blairstown Ambulance, Warren County Crash Team and New Jersey Department of Transportation.
