Cause of fire at Hackettstown business under investigation (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that damaged a Main St business Friday morning, police said.

Crews were called to B & R Uniform, located at 147 Main St, shortly after 10:00 a.m., police said.

When officers arrived on scene, the officers observed fire and smoke coming from the building, police said.

Fire damage was concentrated to the front part of the building. There was smoke and water damage to the back side and lower level of the building, police said.

The business was open at the time of the fire and one employee suffered smoke inhalation but refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.

The business remains closed, police said.

Route 46 between Valentine St and East Plane St, Route 517 between Franklin St and Route 46 also Grand Ave between Washington St and Route 46 were closed for 3 hours, police said.

Assisting  at the scene was the Hackettstown Detective Bureau, Hackettstown Fire Police, Hackettstown Department Of Public Works, Warren County Fire Marshal, Mt Olive Twp Fire Marshal, Washington Boro Fire Department, Tri County Fire Company, Mansfield Township EMS, Allamuchy Twp Fire Department, Independence Twp Fire Department, Schooley’s Mountain Fire Company, Budd Lake Fire Department, Flanders Fire Department, Washington Township Police (Morris County), New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey State Police, Elizabethtown Gas and Jersey Central Power & Light.
