HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The members of Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local 369 will be participating in a ‘Beards In Blue’ Fundraiser this November.

Officers will be putting down their razors and growing their facial hair to support The Joan Knechel Cancer Center at Hackettstown Medical Center.

“We wanted to keep the money local and that’s why the PBA decided to do our own style of No-Shave November,” Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

The anti-shave campaign is meant to raise cancer awareness and encourage people to live healthy and get their regular medical checkups to detect issues that could lead to cancer.

“Our members and organization will be donating money for each participating officer, but we still need the communities help,” Tynan said.

Cancer research and treatments are very costly, and we want to lend as much help as possible to those who are fighting for a cure.

“We want everyone to use the hashtag #beardsinblue to spread the word,” Tynan said.

Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so by clicking HERE.
