3 Mendham high school students busted for throwing eggs, shooting paintballs at homes

MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Three Mendham high school students have been charged after they allegedly vandalized two homes Monday evening.

The three Mendham High School seniors, who were only identified as two adults and a juvenile, were charged with criminal mischief.

At 9:45 p.m., borough police received a call from a Mountain Avenue resident who reported that their house was egged and shot with paintballs, police said.

The three students were taken into custody following a traffic stop shortly thereafter on East Main St, police said.

During the traffic stop, police recovered paint ball guns and eggs, police said.

An investigation determined that a second home and vehicle were also vandalized on Orchard Street, police said.

All three were released pending a municipal court date.
