UPDATE: Missing Budd Lake woman has been found (PHOTOS)

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Budd Lake woman who had been missing since Saturday night was found alive Sunday afternoon near Sandshore School.  She was transported to an area of hospital, according to radio reports.

“I was advised by the police that Liz Palanchi has been found. I’m sure the family thanks all for their concerns and offer of help,” Mayor Rob Greenbaum said.

The police department along with the Morris County Sheriff’s K-9 unit and the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit assisted with the search.. The search began Saturday evening in the vicinity of Chickadee Rd.

Authorities have not yet released the details surrounding the incident.

According to a post on Mayor Rob Greenbaum’s Facebook page, Palanchi’s husband reported her missing after he got home from work at 5: 45 p.m on Saturday. Her car, phone, and wallet are all at the house so she appears to be on foot.

First responders from Budd Lake and Flanders were staging at the Christ Episcopal Church at the corner of Smithtown Rd and Sand Shore Rd. They were also observed checking properties in the vicinity of Chickadee Rd.

“The police activity in the Manor House section of Budd Lake is related to a search for a missing adult. I have not been advised of any public safety concerns,” Mayor Rob Greenbaum said.
