SUSSEX BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex Borough man who allegedly broke into a Chinese restaurant earlier this month has been arrested.

Patrick Kohlash, 34, was arrested at his residence on Friday. He was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief, state police said.

On Monday, November 6, at 5:24 a.m., Kohlash allegedly entered the Grand Eastern Chinese Restaurant, located on East Main Street in Sussex Borough, through the front door, state police said.

Kohlash was captured on video surveillance removing money from the register and then leaving. He returned a few minutes later, removed money from the tip jar, and then proceeded to wipe down areas where he may have left fingerprints, state police said.

Kohlash was lodged in the Sussex County jail pending a court appearance.
