HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown woman who allegedly hit six parked cars, shoplifted and possessed drugs was charged Sunday morning.
Linda Harris, 58, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Oxycodone without prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, driving while under the influence, driving while under the influence in a school zone, reckless driving, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to report a motor vehicle accident, failure to inspect and a cracked windshield.
At 9:52 a.m., town police responded to Peter Dr for a report of a vehicle that hit multiple cars and then fled the scene, police said.
The officer located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Quick Chek, 146 Mountain Ave, and located Harris inside the store, police said.
Through a police investigation it was determined that Harris was driving on Peter Dr when she struck six parked vehicles and left the scene. One of the vehicles she struck was then pushed into another vehicle for a total of 7 cars damaged, police said.
While Harris was at Quick Chek, she allegedly shoplifted six magazines and a can of Beneful dog food, totaling $35.19, police said.
Harris had in her possession two plastic straws containing suspected heroin residue, two wax fold packages containing suspected heroin residue and four Oxycodone pills, police said.
Harris was released pending a court appearance.
