HOAPTCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A Jersey Central Power and Light employee helped corral a loose pig Friday.

Hopatcong police officers Lotito and Fullman responded to the intersection of Rollins Trail and Larson Trail for the report of a loose pig, Hopatcong Police Captain Thomas Kemtz said.

When the officers arrived on location, the officers located a white pig tied to a bush, Kmetz said.

A JCP&L employee tied the pig to a bush, Kmetz said.

The officers couldn’t locate the owner and the animal control officer was then contacted to take custody of the pig, Kmetz said.

As the animal control officer arrived, so did the owner and the pig was then reunited with its owner.
