On the Monday edition of the RNJ Morning Program, Morning Mike was able to catch up with Joshua Long, the local contact for “Tuba Christmas” in Belvidere. On Christmas Eve, all listeners and musicians of Euphonium, Baritone, Tuba, and Sousaphone are welcome
for an old fashioned sing along and performance of “Tuba Christmas” at the Warren County Courthouse. Registration starts at 2:30 p.m., followed by a rehearsal at 3:00 at the Belvidere United Methodist Church, 219 Hardwick Street, Belvidere. After a short break, the tubas head to the Warren County Courthouse, at 413 Second Street, for the show. In case of inclement weather the event will take place in the church.
Joshua shared that “Tuba Christmas” is actually a national program, at over 300 locations across the U.S., as well as some events around the world. To learn more about “Tuba Christmas” nationally, visit the website here. If you’d like more info about the event this Sunday in Belvidere, use this link to learn more – or maybe even sign up.
