RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Authorities are looking for a man who they say allegedly stabbed another man on New Year’s Day.
According to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III, on January 1, around 4:00 a.m., the Raritan Township Police responded to a residence for the report of a victim with a stab wound.
When police arrived, a male victim was found with a stab wound to his shoulder. The victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and was admitted in critical condition, Kearns said.
The suspect, Ciro Perrone, 32, of Flemington, had departed the scene before police arrived, Kearns said.
Prosecutor Kearns added, an arrest warrant has been issued for Perrone for first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree possession of a weapon. Perrone remains at large and law enforcement is actively attempting to locate him.
