HOPE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A person was hurt after a crash in Hope Township Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. near the sharp curve on County Route 611 just south of The Land Of Make Believe.
The car reportedly rolled up the shoulder of the road, overturned and slid about 100 feet down the roadway on its’ roof.
When the Hope Volunteer Fire Department arrived moments later, firefighters found the driver still trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighters used the jaws of life to cut open the passenger side of the car to access and stabilize the driver until North Warren EMS arrived on scene.
EMTs climbed inside the car to place the driver on a backboard and slid him out onto a stretcher.
He was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center.
State Police closed County Route 611 from the center of Hope to Shades of Death Road while the vehicle was righted and put on a flatbed.
