“Let’s Talk About It” – Monday, Jan. 15th @ 10:05 a.m.
Your host is Rev. Frank Fowler is the Senior Pastor of Trinity Church in downtown Hackettstown. This week, Rev. Fowler welcomed Dr. Ralph Terrell, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Newark, to talk about the “Legacy of Martin Luther King for Today.”
“Educationally Speaking” – Wednesday, Jan. 17th @ 10:05 a.m.
RNJ News Director Joyce Estey was joined by her cohost, Dr. Will Austin, President of Warren County Community College. They talked with Jeremy Beeler, Vice President of Student Services, about registering for classes. Jack Wooldridge, a former WCCC student and now a professional tutor, spoke about the help available for students at WCCC. Library Coordinator Lisa Stoll discussed how the college helps students with food insecurity. WCCC Education Foundation Board Member Craig Neier introduced magician and comedian Jay Mattiola, who will be performing at a fundraiser in February.
“Newsline” – Thursday, Jan. 18th @ 10:05 a.m.
In the first portion of the program, WRNJ News Director Joyce Estey welcomed Home Improvement expert Anne Thornton to talk about her new book “Insiders Guide to Home Improvement.” Anne also offered tips for home repairs, whether you use a contractor or DIY.
In the second half of the program Joyce spoke with educators in the Clinton-Glen Gardner School District. Guests included Seth Cohen, Superintendent of the District and Principal of the Clinton Public School; Mary Ellen Bowlby, President of the Hunterdon County School Nurses Association, Secretary of the New Jersey State School Nurses Association, and the School Nurse at Clinton Public School; Suzanne Lauricella, Artist and Art Teacher at Clinton Public School; Mary Bulger, Health and Physical Education Teacher; and, Jessica Latanzio Crespo, Middle School ELA Teacher and Middle School Coordinator. They discussed the “Empty Bowl Dinner” coming up on Wednesday, February 28th. The purpose is to bring awareness to the surrounding community of the hunger present both locally and globally. The “Empty Bowl” is an annual event, a simple community meal of soup and bread, reminding people of those facing hunger. 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Open Cupboard Food Pantry in Clinton.
