On a Throwback Thursday edition of the RNJ Morning Program, Morning Mike had the opportunity to really go back in time with Warren County resident Bill Scurato. Settling down with his wife, Carolyn, with a teaching job in Warren County, their ambitions were similar to those of most young couples starting out in the 1970’s: home, career, and family. But for them, the plan included an additional component – community theatre. Beginning with just a handful of grassroots participants, the Country Gate Players emerged and grew into a life-long mission. Now, Bill shares the experiences of the past 46 years in his memoir, “Makes A Man’s Blood Pound.” Scurato recalls with tears and laughter the origins and development of the Country Gate Playhouse, its impact on his life, his family, and the community at large. Learn more about Bill and his book at his website, billscurato.com. “Makes A Man’s Blood Pound” is available on Amazon, and there is a link from his website.
