3 charged after 3-month-long drug investigation

CLINTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A three-month-long drug investigation has resulted in the arrest of three people on narcotics offenses, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Town of Clinton Police Chief Brett Matheis.

Michael Kolba Jr., 19, of Lebanon, was charged with third-degree distribution of Alprazolam.

Victor Tranquilli, 19, of Hampton, was charged with third-degree conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Maxwell Krizan, 19, of Branchburg, was charged with possession of marijuana.

The arrests took place in the Town of Clinton on January 23 and over $2,400 in cash was seized during the raid, Kearns said.

Tranquilli and Krizan were released pending a court appearance.

Kolba was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

The investigation was conducted by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Task Force, the Town of Clinton Police Department, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office SWAT Team, and the New Jersey State Police.
