Police: Multiple air guns, daggers, sling shots and metal knuckles found in home

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Randolph Township man who was not allowed to own weapons was charged Monday with numerous weapons related charges, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chief David Stokoe of the Randolph Township Police Department.\

Lawrence W. Ball, 60, was charged with five counts of second-degree certain person not to possess a weapon, three counts of fourth-degree certain persons to have a weapon and three counts of fourth-degree possession of prohibited weapons and devices.

Township police made contact with the Ball due to a report of him making obscene gestures towards others.

The Randolph Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Homeland Security Unit initiated a suspicious person investigation which ultimately led to a search of Ball’s home where numerous prohibited weapons were located.

Law enforcement officers seized 5 air/pellet guns, 51 daggers, 33 sling shots, and 11 metal knuckles from Ball’s home.

Ball is currently lodged at the Morris County Correctional Facility in accordance with Criminal Justice Reform.
